Chained
Pieces
Another problem you might run into with the loop
method is when pieces are stuck together and it’s difficult to pull out
the pieces you need from the chain. There
are two examples to the left. If
you’re fast enough, you might be able to pull the pieces you need out
and quickly change the arrow back in the loop direction to prevent the
next piece in the chain from entering the gun.
That takes time and skill however, and if you don’t have much of
either then here’s a trick for you.
Quite simply, break up the chain.
This can be done a couple ways.
As your pieces are traveling along the path, place an arrow in the
middle of the chain so that some pieces are forced to move in a different
direction. You can either
send them traveling back down the loop path in the opposite direction, or
have them make a 90o turn and join up with the loop later on
– either way the chain is broken and the pieces are easier to deal with.
