Introducing: Kali

Calliope Rebekah Knoch (or Kali for short) was born 16 May, 2005, at 6:27 EDT, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. At birth she weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 19 3/4 inches long. Below you'll find select pictures as well as links to full galleries of all the pics!

Week ending 051218 (seven months old).

Week ending 051204 (six and a half months).

Week ending 051127 (six months plus). Highlights: the anatomy of a roll (including funny faces), the joy that is intently eating a banana.

Week ending 051120 (six months old). Highlights: eating from a distance, banging toys, playing on the floor.

Week ending 051113 (almost six months old). Highlights: a few with Grandma, playing in the new high chair, outside with the leaves, and the new play thing that is food.

Week ending 050918 (four months old, part 1). Highlights: Aunt Jen tries the sling, lots of pictures from the Kickoff Open in Wakefield, and a few in the car as Pumpkin gets the hang of the whole "grasping" thing.

Week ending 050911 (three and a half months, part 2). "Standing" with Daddy, riding the dog, and lots of funny faces.

Week ending 050821. Lots of pictures! Singing with Mummy, smiles in the blue chair, outdoor pics, various with Daddy. Thirteen weeks old, also known as three months (part 1).

Week ending 050814 (twelve weeks old). Highlights: slinging, sleeping, sunshine.

Week ending 050807 (eleven weeks old). Highlights: lime stripes with keys, that can't be comfortable, pink dress with burp cloth.

Week ending 050731 (ten weeks old). Highlights: sitting in the blue chair, tummy time in pink, porch pics with Mummy in green stripes.

Week ending 050724 (nine weeks old). Highlights: smiling at her hippo, blue dress, new changing station. 

Week ending 050717 (eight weeks old). Highlights: fencing tournament (Commonwealth Games), sleepy girl.

Week ending 050710 (seven weeks old). Highlights: Grandma and Grandpa, chubby cheeks, photo shoot with movies.

Week ending 050703 (six weeks old). Highlights: thoughtful faces, yellow dress, with Mum, with Grandpa & Grandma

Week ending 050619 (four weeks old). Highlights: cheerleading outfit, stretching on the bed, first fencing tournament. Also some short video clips (no sound).

The first of the weekly galleries. All pictures taken in the course of a week (Monday through "picture day" Sunday) are put in a group together. The best of them make it here to the gallery. Since she's so little, there are a lot of multiple pictures in the same pose. Bear with me. I didn't subject you to ALL of them!

Kali entertained guests at her welcome party on 22 May. Here she is being held by Tom L, finally awake after snoozing through most of the party. See all pictures from the party.

After a few days at home, I realized I was so busy taking care of her (and myself!) that I wasn't taking many pictures. So we had a quick photo-shoot while she was wearing an especially-adorable outfit! See all pictures from the "photo shoot."
